FOOD AND SEXUAL PERFORMANCE
October 9th 2006 03:33
Let’s get one thing straight first; this isn’t a post about what foods to use as an aid DURING good sex! (Perhaps I’ll leave that for another blogger) This is about what foods to eat so you can get that extra edge in terms of energy and vitality, and thus have a tad more stamina and staying power. Goes for ladies too…. The fitter you are, the more likely you are to have a higher sex drive. So exercise is a must, don’t you get sick of hearing it!?
Plenty of fresh fruits and vegetable are an absolute must. You’ll get plenty of fibre, antioxidants and heaps of essential vitamins and minerals. Good quality protein is to be found in seafood, lean red meat and white meats such as turkey and chicken. Don’t overdo the protein or you may end up interfering with the sex drive negatively. Zinc, which is essential to testosterone production in men, is found in oysters. So there you go, the rumours about oysters being good for the sex drive are right, for men at least.
If you find yourself constantly feeling sluggish and not really in the mood, there’s a fair chance you’re indulging in too many fried foods, starchy carbohydrates, and processed foods. Or it could just be you haven’t found the right person to get you going. Try changing the diet before the partner though. MB

Good read. I think the female equivalent to Zinc, must be Chrome.
Recently I visited a Naturopath and found out that even though I was eating vegetables, the ones I was eating were all wrong for my body type, so there you go. I was into Cauliflower, cabbage and brussle sprouts and my body type nneeded leeks, fennel and green beans. Also the fruit section was all screwed up too apparently. Since making the recommended changes, I have started to shift a few of those stubborn kilos - amazing stuff.
You are right about Carbs. They should never be eaten with Protein and that, they say, is that. Hence the burgeoning population. YOu are what you eat, and so many now resemble a Big Mac, don't you think?
Cheers
Lilla.

I agree totally, we are indeed what we eat. Makes me wish I didn't have a burger on the way home from the airport, regardless of having skipped lunch! Thanks for the comment, will check your site out. Michael
